Balk on the wild side

Here is a story will leave you shaking your head. It also shows that winning is far down the priority list in affiliated ball.

I wonder why the manager was on vacation.

I think Bando's been on an extended vacation all season.

Off topic.....did anybody notice that Ernie Banks in back in the Frontier League? He was traded from Laredo in the American Association to Gary Southshore in the same league a few days ago, and then Gary shipped him to the Normal Cornbelters a day later. Banks was hitting .343 with 3 homers and 25 RBIs in 39 games.

The interesting thing about Normal acquiring Banks is his rights in the Frontier League were owned by Southern Illinois. Normal had to give Alvaro Ramirez, who was on the West Division All-Star team, to Southern Illinois for the rights to Banks.

Life of a Wild Cubs suck-up. Become a host family then think you know all there is to know about baseball.. Say everything is great. Try to curry favor by praising everything the Wild Cubs do. Be a shameless brown nose. Say that a team that is the worst team in the Frontier League looks like a team that knows what they are doing. Say they don’t have any problem with the highest parking fee in the Frontier League. Tell the Wild Cubs management what a great job they are doing. Get all upset with those that don’t agree. Kiss the management’s back side before and after a meeting. Say everything is just fine. Tell us how much they teach the players that are lodged in their home. All this, over and over again. Tell the Wild Cubs how good the team and the management are before going to bed. Tell management how it’s okay to be in last place and you don’t worry about that. After all, the Wild Cubs can do no wrong.
Get up the next morning tell your players how to play baseball again. Get in your wheelchair and go looking for another Wild Cubs person to brown nose. Never stop because your ego needs to be fed every day.

Swisscheda, your wrong again. Bando is doing a great job. You really have to learn that the Wild Cubs just haven't been able to put all the pieces of the puzzle together yet. Stu and Steve are, and have been, doing a tremendous job this season. If we all just wait for the pieces of the puzzle to fall into place then everything will be just fine. You haven't given the Wild Cubs management the opportunity to finish the job yet and prove they have been right all along.

I think the Wild Cubs only have two transactions left. They can tradr within the Frontier League and that is not a transaction. Question is; Is only having two transactions left going to further hamper this team?
I think it will.

The limited transactions has the potential to be a major problem.

The Wild Cub suck-up persons, the ones that whisper snide remarks to Steve Z, don't think it's a problem. I envy them for their vast knowledge of Frontier League baseball. Wish I was that smart - NOT!!

Traverse City did not look like a first place team last night.
The secret to winning just might be to leave Buttons Bando sitting on the bench.

Here is something the Wild Things haven't tried yet.

" Atheist Night Promoted by St. Paul Saints Baseball Organization"

Nothing would shock me from this bunch.
