and that's your season... still no playoff wins since 2007.

Play-in games don't count.

Maybe before next season they'll sale the team and tear down the stadium. Little Warshington would be improved with a strip club there instead.

So much for Vahalik's smart a## remark a couple of weeks ago that "1 thru 9 we're the best team in the League"! Don't give me that crap about "anything can happen in a short series". Wouls we had heard from you if the Wild Things had won?
Thanks Bart for giving us hope for the first half of the season. You were going well until Williams allowed your pitching coach to slug you AND, get away with it. The sad part is that most of the players did not seem to have a problem with that. What ever happened to the days when players supported their manager? Blame it on Stu Williams and Steve Z for creating a culture of "just win baby". Of course there is also the hiring of a Bobby B that the Wild Things all of a sudden 'discovered' after being with the team for most of the years of it's formation in 2002. The truth is that nobody else would come here to work for a non-supportive owner - jerk as Williams. If Bobby is re-hired for next season expect more of the same we've seen for the last few seasons. One the other hand, what person with knowledge of the way Williams operates, and is worth his salt would ever want to manage a team for Williams after seeing the way Williams rewarded Kevin Gryboski for punching the last manager that he hired?
Williams, as a team owner - you stink!!! Buy season tickets for 2015? Pack the Park? Only if you are a complete fool.

The Wild Things are so well regarded that neither of the Pittsburgh papers even took note of this event.

Dispite all the negatives, I feel the season was overall comendable.
Consider they lost the manager to so called health reasons. Replaced by a manager who recently had heart problems, had the hitting coach resign, and two of the best players in the league signed by MLB and assigned to the minor leagues.
Just think if they had a real general manager and other knowledgable baseball management, they might have won the championship.
The low of the season was Mrs. Williams and the sweetheart of the night.
The high of the season was Mrs Ima Fraid being the sweetheart of the night.
However, I do not see much postitive for 2015.

I'm with you Anon 9:55 - or were we dreaming that 4-2 win over Evansville. I do seem to recall the Frontier League listing the wild-card games under the playoff game schedule.

As far as (Anon 9:45) the stated comment about Mr Zeller being slugged by Mr. Gryboski, I have to assume that you were present and witnessed this attack first hand, or were you?

It is a sad commentary that the Pittsburgh media do not mention the Wild Things. Perhaps it would make the 11:00 news if in fact a stripper's pole was erected on home plate.

And, Disa Pointed, I do agree with your assessment of the season excepting the flower presentation to Mrs. Williams as a low point. After all, the florist is financially supporting the team by this nice gesture toward some nice ladies so why not salute one of the owners on her birthday. I look forward to seeing you and the Mrs. at the games next season.

Well Jeff, it doesn't relly matter what happened between Zeller and A. H. Gryboski. The fact is that you DON'T physically attack elderly people or, do you? Gryboski should have had the good sence to walk away from Zeller if, in fact, Zeller started it. After all, Gryboski is 35 years younger, is 6' 5" tall, and weighs 220 pounds. During his major league career Gryboski was known as a "headhunter" which gained him few friends in MLB. Zeller was trying to prevent having an incident such as the on that happened on Thursday between the Marlins and Brewers. Those things can get out of hand in a hurry. It also doesn't matter what Gryboski thought about how the situation should be handled, the manager is the boss P-E-R-I-o-D! It sounds to me as though you are willing to give the benefit of what little doubt there is, to Kevin Gryboski. Again, it doesnt matter who was right, or who was wrong. You don't seem to have much of an issue with what happened. To you it seems more important about where the fault lies. Gryboski, like most ignorant people tend to do, decided to settle it with his fist, on an old man, no less. You don't have a problem with that?
My God, Jeff wake up. Would you ask who was right or wrong if somebody slugged your grandfather? If you would then.... All of the fans I spoken with do with both Grybosli AND Williams. Laying hands on an elderly man, twice your age, and 65 pounds lighter than you is not only wrong to any clear thing person, but it's the sign of an immoral coward. You can imply all you want that there might be some question about whether Gryboski is entirely the culprit but, anybody with common sense knows you don't physically fight with a man much smaller and older than you. What will be the next thing, Jeff? That there is some doubt about Ray Rice slugging his niw wife? Or, will there be something like "she had it coming", or "I have to assume that you were present and witnessed this attack first hand, or were you? Makes me wonder.

I hope you are joking. The team owner and the Asst. General Manager are making
enough money to pay for flowers for their wives. What these narcissistic jerks did was to take
flowers that were intended to be given a fan to make that fans night special. I seriously dispute any argument that says
they were not intended to be given to paying customers unless you can prove otherwise. It is a promotion in which the sponsor
gains recognition for his business. I see no problem with these two, (shall we call them gentlemen?), having flowers presented
to their wives and having the PA announcer call it to the attention of the crowd. But, instead of that, these two gentlemen
on two occasions, denied a lady, a paying customer no less, of a special moment. These two did it for their own self aggrandizement.
Now I know from reading some of you post that you are a supporter of the Williams regime, at least it certainly seems that way,
but those flower presentations were very classless indeed. What about the other ladies that were celebrating a birthday in
attendance on those nights? Are they just chopped liver? I don’t see why Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Zavacky are any more deserving
then anybody else. I think we’ve all pretty well figured out by now that things at CEP are all about the Williams’s and Zavacky’s and
very little else!
I suppose that you feel that the ladies that were bypassed on these two nights are not supporting the team financially by
purchasing a ticket to watch the Wild Things. Why should anybody support a team whose owner and Asst. General Manager
put there wishes ahead of of their costumers. If these guy’s want to salute their wives then do it with their own money.
The low points of the season are; Kevin Gryboski, Stu Williams, Steve Zavacky, and the arrogant attitude, with a few exceptions,
of the entire.organization.

I'd quit too if the team owner let a man beat ne just because he could. The team was going fine up until then. Now Bobby B is the loser.

Well, it's finally over. Let's hope Daddy Baseball Bucks (Not real baseball, I apologize to MLB) finally either folds or sells the Wild Things. All we were ever told is if they win, the stands will be packed, at least on weekends. Not just one or two odd nights when fireworks were more interesting than the game. Too bad, this was a great thing for us here in the region, now it's what it is...sad! A fan a few seats away from me told me a player was on the blog...now that's really sad. Well, now you can go back to your single bed in the attic of your parents house.

Well, you FINALLY admit that the ownership does not care about what the "classless",in your opinion, people that pay to watch this stuff. The management promised we paying customers a lot and delivered none of it. So, I guess that's what happens when for pay for something and get nothing but BS in return.
PAck up the circus Stu, and get out of here ASAP!

Wild Things fans = classless

Wild Things season ticket holders = gimme everything because I'm old and I deserve it.

Washington = armpit of the league.

Championships = Zero and will always be zero.

Best thing that can happen to this league and team is to move to Parkersburg WV. That way the fans can sit in an empty stadium and watch nothing all summer and the players can play in front of fans who appreciate them not a bunch of cranky old people who think they should be the center of attention and are owed everything they want.

Does any one think that Bob Bozzuto will be back as manager next year? If so, how long will it be until Kevin Gryboski slugs him too.
i think Gryboski will probably take him out early in the season and that Stu and Steve will put their heads together and name Gryboski the manager for the rest of the 2015 season. Being a horses behind does have some rewards, I guess. Can you think of three horses behinds that are worse than those three persons? I'd call them men but real men don't act like those guys do.

You can't support a manager who lies to everyone. Just because you guys were stupid enough to believe Bart doesn't mean we are. Also not saying what Kevin did was right but he did not hit Bart it was a shouting match. You fans are awful fans that assume. You have no facts what so ever. Ever wonder why Bart was fired from Joliet right after a championship? Same reason he was fired in Washington. He is a liar and scum. Have fun to all you fans who think you know better.. You don't.
This team was out together by people in the background not by Bart. So get over it.

Lets hope next year is better for all involved. Maybe Bart and Bozzuto can both be back. Have a good winter. In the end, this is still about baseball.

I've been saying that for years and never did see any support from you, Chris. People just hammered away at me and you just continued to allow it to happen. Where was the "how can you expect anybody to take it seriously?" then?

I mentioned plenty of times about how I would like people to put their names or even a "handle" on their posts for several reasons.

Ron, I wouldn't lose any sleep over anonymous people who disagree with your comments. If it's coming on a minor league baseball blog and from somebody who doesn't have the backbone to attach his name to it, then it's probably not worth taking seriously. Most of the comments here come from trolls, anyway.

Believe me, I don't lose any sleep over it. But I still think that if you are going to allow anybody to call names they should have to identify themselves.
No matter really because I am limiting my post since the Gryboski incident. From the day Stu Williams allowed him to remain with the team I have NO interest in the Wild Things. When Gryboski is gone perhaps my interest will return. I go to the games because my wife likes to go. If I were not afraid of getting hit by a foul ball, I'd just sit there and read a book.
