Wild win in Marion

Here is a 50-second clip from the Wild Things' win Friday night over Southern Illinois, again from WSIL-TV. The footage includes Ryan Kresky's run-scoring triple.

How is this team 15 games above 500 with this lineup hititng the way it is? Beatty avg under .250 now. Cracks in the pitching staff showing now.

Well, from reading Jeff's remarks,
I would have thought CJ was carrying the team on his back.
The most brilliant thing about CJ is his ridiculous shoes.
As for his motivational speaking skills, they sure haven't carried over to his new role as spokesman for the team. This man is a marginal player in a league that is barely above college ball

Beatty avg under .250 now

If you can't hit Frontier League pitching then you just can't hit.

as far as Cj's stats his avg is the only thing down this season. He is 3rd in HRs, 5 in Rbis, and has 12 SB's with no caught stealing so it sounds to me like he is going to be ok. He gets pitched like barry bonds (only 3 fastball strikes a game) so don't compare him to most hitters in this league.

the wildthings will be fine in my opinion because they have proven to win games when people like yourself hope they lose. They had a lot of changes happen out of no where and to still hold it together and compete says a lot. Great job things! Keep grinding it out! we love you here!

To Anon 7:13 ... Don't you know this a Wild Things haters blog. How dare you come on here and write positive things and sound like a fan. Who wants to read that kind of positive upbeat stuff? Now get with it and start being a hater and writing bad things about the front office, the players, the coaches, the league, the parking lot, the ticket prices, the concession stands, the turf, the attendance, the softball team and so on. Just don't write anything about the old people who go to the games. You know they're perfect and know everything.

How come nobody shows up to watch the games? It can't be because the team isn't doing well.

Bring back your origional staff and people will again show up. They ran a good operation. John, Ricci, Jeff, Ross, Kent, and the Dillie of a Wild Thing just to name a few.
They only failure the first year was the Budd Baer free car offer sham!

Unfortunately, no one is going because they have been driven away by a terrible owner, a "Yes Man" fake GM and a apathetic staff. The fans will never come back unless the team is sold to an ownership group that will treat fans like they are special and employees like they are not servants. So many people have had bad experiences at picnics and events at the ballpark its almost funny.
But it isn't funny to take people's money and treat them badly. And, that's only just a few reasons no one is going.

Nobody wants to look at the scum pitching coach, or his friends Steve Z and S. Williams.
Can't much blame then for that.

Don't you you ever stop to think that where there is so much smoke that there must be some fire?
Oh, yeah. I almost forgot; you don't ever stop to think.
That's the way it is with Asst. General Managers. They just get lead around by the nose. You just can't trust the team owners unless your able to see where they are leading you to.
