First managerial opening

After leading the River City Rascals to the West Division title and to within one win of the Frontier League championship, Chad Parker has resigned as manager of the Rascals. Parker said he wanted to return to his home state of Georgia and pursue job opportunities there.

Under Parker's guidance, the Rascals reached set a team record for wins.

"Our organization will always be grateful for what Chad has done this season," Rascals executive vice president and general manager Chris Franklin said. "We were very happy with Chad both on and off the field, and we made him what we felt was a strong offer after the all-star break to continue with the Rascals in 2010 and beyond. The same characteristics that make him a good manager are the same characteristics that make him a good father and husband, and it seems that this situation will be best for him and his family."

GOOD! Now Ross has a place to go. If he is such a baseball brain he could be the field manager and not have the stress of beinh the GM - a job he can't handle anyway.

If Ross knows what is good for him he will NOT work for Angelo Armenti, the chief honcho at Cal U. That guy is mean on steroids.
Most of the staff at Cal U would do anything to stay as far away from him as possible. Ross, I know you don’t read the blog BUT – DON’T go to Cal U. If you do, you WILL be real sorry, real quick! A word to the wise should be sufficient!
You know what they say: “Short people ain’t got no reason to live”, except maybe to yell at the staff. Such is the case with dear ol’ Angelo Armenti.

I wonder if Chad Parker refused to talk to the news media after losing the final game in the series?
The situation and explanation sounds very similar to Maz. in 2007.

I just heard from a very reliable source that Greg Jelks was flown in from Australia to meet with Wild Things officials.

The only way Gregg Jelks would have been flown in from Australia to meet with the Wild Things is if he paid for his own ticket.

Referring to comment about Ross maybe going to work at Cal U for Armenti...I truly agree. If you are the type of person that is willing to kiss *** and bow down to "His Majesty" you will do okay working for Armenti, but if not, I wouldn't recommend it. Armenti has been on a big ego trip since he was hired and there was a lot of "strings" pulled for that. Ross if you are considering this, talk to some people that work there, especially if you know any professors. I know, because I worked for the jack*** for way too many years.

I wonder if Ernie Banks has finished crying and fighting with people because he did not win the championship. I hate that guy!

//Ernie Banks has finished crying and fighting//

We sure loved giving him the business in Avon in the finals. Maybe it's a common occurence with him, but we had him barking back at us in the stands. It was GREAT!

^^^^ Just spent 10 minutes trying to find a FL message board, then composing a reply stating that the subject he is writing about is crap.

Has there ever been a greater cry for psychiatric help?

He's right though ! The Frontier League is a total joke to any one who is in MLB. It's nothing but second rate college players playing for BEER MONEY ! Anyone with any baseball sense knows it. I can not believe how many people pay 7 bucks to go watch that crap.

This guy's need for psychiatric help and to get a life trumps the previous guy's.

I can't believe how many people waste their valuable time checking this blog to bash the FL. Don't they have anything better to do with their life? I guess not. There are a lot of unemployed losers in Washington County who have nothing better to do than play keyboard cowboy.

Drove by the ballpark yesterday afternoon and there was a guy out mowing the field and it looked pretty good. Looks like they are spending a lot of time with the field upkeep. Hard to believe they would do that if they are planning to tear it up!

Who cares! Why don't all you Wild Fans run over and pay Franni for your 2010 season tickets NOW, so she can make a payment on the plastic grass. Then next year the bunch of loosing bums she puts on the field won't have to worry about gettin their shoes wet when it rains. AND that in its self is the best arguement for plastic grass....Good day !

you're the loser, idiot. you hate the wild things, yet spend time on a thursday night in october posting negative comments on the wild things blog.

dodgers score twice in bottom of night the beat cards, penguins hold on to win in philadelphia, nebraska and missouri are playing football and now the red sox and angels are playing. meanwhile you call out from under a slimy, mossy rock to criticize someone who enjoys going to wild things games on a blog devoted to the wild things.

you're the idiot, the loser, the 2-digit iq waste of time.
