Going Mobile

Stewart Ijames
Playing in Double-A for Mobile

Former Wild Things outfielder Stewart Ijames (2013-14) has been promoted and added to the roster of the Mobile BayBears, the Arizona Diamondbacks' affiliate in the Class AA Southern League.

Mobile ends its all-star break tonight and hosts Tennessee.

Ijames began the year with Visalia of the high-Class A California League and was an impact player for the Rawhide. He batted .267 with 16 doubles, 15 home runs and 37 RBI, helping Visalia to the first-half championship in its division. Ijames was second in the league in home runs and 11th in doubles.

I was listening to 93.7 the fan around noon and Poini and Cook were blasting The Wild Things for bringing in Pete Rose June 30. Ron Cook was more of a blaster or the two. In light of the recent findings revealing where Pete Rose bet on games while he was a player, Cook said Rose should not be allowed any where any professional baseball stadium. And to add to the mess, the O-R will be picking the O-R bingo coverall winners at the stadium that night. Perhaps the O-R should pick another night.
Also, one of the listeners called in to say he just got off the phone with the Wild Things and they are sold out of tickets for personally meeting Mr. Rose.
Fellow bloggers, what do you think?

This shouldn't surprise anyone. Old Stu would host "Bum Fighting" as long as he could charge for parking and sell over price beer!

I've already stated my opinion in a previous post about having this POS appearing at CEP. Doesn't surprise me at all that the tickets are sold out. The vast majority of 'fans' that attend Wild Things games, including the owner of the team, Stu Williams, don't know or even give a rats behind about baseball history, traditions, and most importantly, the game's INTEGRITY! Most of these 'fans' have never been anywhere or done anything and seem starved for ANY sort of contact with the outside world.
I'll bet my last dollar that most of these suckers, er 'fans', actually think Frontier League baseball is on a par with Major League Baseball. Heck, I actually had a man tell me once at a Wild Things game. He said; Quote "These guys are just as good as the Pittsburgh Pirates". Nuff' said about how knowledgeable that 'fan' is. To top it off this guy did buy a ticket to see the bum, Pete Rose.
I my opinion, anybody that would pay ANY amount to see this disgrace to baseball, much less want to actually want his autograph is nothing short of being a damn fool.
Well, you know what they say; "A fool and his money are soon parted". Also said is; "There is a sucker born every minute". Looks like a lot of them are right here in Washington, PA. proof positive that the saying is accurate. The flim-flam artist will always be there to take advantage of them. Case in point - the upcoming appearance of the disgraced Pete Rose. Sleep well Stu Williams. What a shameful display of disrespect for the game. To all who signed up for this nauseating display of hero worship remember this; You are known by the company you keep and, in the world of real baseball, Pete Rose is nothing but trash. Enjoy your dip into the garbage can. You are NOT true baseball fans, you are just supporting a couple of persons that would sell you down the river in a heartbeat!
I'd tell you how I REALLY feel but I have a headache!!!!

Somebody needs to tell Bobby B that real managers don't use the same relief pitcher 3 days in a row. When you do you blow 4 run leads in the 9th inning.

Pete Rose wouldn't even bet on the Wild Things to win.

Probably right on that one. Did you hear that sorry excuse for a human was coming to CEP to fleece the local yokel's out of 40 bucks to his sorry autograph? To further fleece the mindless victims of this scam, he will ONLY sign his worthless name IF, and only IF, you have a piece of Wild Things merchandise for him to sign.
"Charlie Hustle" is sure living up to his nickname because he's putting his 'hustle' on all you misguided people that fall for this nonsense. Pete Rose and Stuart Williams, two people that truly deserve each other. Anybody that allows themselves to be misused this way deserve to get their wallets emptied by these two clowns.

I wonder if they will fire Bob Buzzoto and Steve Z. and hire Pete Rose as manager and general manager of the Wild Things. This would justify a reason for him to be in town.

Other than greed by Stu Williams, and Pete Rose himself, there can be no reason to justify scumbag Rose for being in town. As for firing Bobby B and Steve; Don't give P.T. Barnum, ooops, I mean Stu Williams any ideas. He can come up with enough bazaar things on his own. Professional wrestling anybody?

I did not know that this blog could be used by the WT the for advertising.
Why is that? I doubt if I could use it to promote my business enterprise.

Duh! So that means it is meant to be used by the WT as an instrument for advertising? Hummmm!

How do you know somebody from the WT made the comment at 2:55? Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. It looks to me like somebody was only correcting a comment made by 11:27. You're assuming somebody from the WT made the comment, and for financial gain, and we all know what happens when you assume.

One of the problems with anonymous comments on blogs is people can accuse another person -- correct or not -- of doing something without ever putting their name to their accusation. They hide behind the anonymous handle and play keyboard cowboy without regard to any facts.
