Decision Day nearing

Alex Kaminsky
Remember when it was mentioned on this blog that the Wild Things would have some difficult roster decisions to make for opening day because of the Frontier League's limit per team on the number of players classified as Experienced or Veteran?

Washington was able to delay releasing any such player by using the 7-day disabled list and suspended list. Pitcher Alex Kaminsky was placed on the 7-day DL and pitcher Julio Perez was put on the suspended list for at least 14 days. Both Kaminsky and Perez are classified as Experienced.

Kaminsky was put on the DL because, with Washington's schedule including consecutive off days in the first week of the season, there was no need for five starting pitchers on the active roster. Kaminsky, however, is scheduled to pitch Saturday against the Rockford Aviators, which means the Wild Things have a roster move to make. They must release, DL or trade an Experienced/Vet player to make room on the active roster for Kaminsky.

You bloggers ought to lay off Steve. After all, Frannie is the general manager as listed in the program. Steve is the ass. general manager. The fault should lie at the top.

10-1 win on opening night. Should have stirred at least some interest. No. Just 1301 last night and I know darn well there were not that many people there. Don't give the bad weather excuse, either.
How long before this house of cards caves in. It's like watching a person bleeding to death by a thousand cuts. Of course the management doesn't help things any by treating some of their employees and customers like dirt.

Disa - Do you remember how badly Frannie screwed up the parking lot? Using that performance as a guide, how much do you think she can screw this job up?

Steve's title is baseball operations.

He is responsible for the baseball operations.

The baseball has operated close to suck levels since he has held this title.

How else must we explain it?

Suck levels.

Suck. Levels.

If you really think Steve Z makes the baseball decisions, then I have some prime land in Florida that I'd like to sell you at a great price.

Some people just don't understand what they write about. They think they understand but they don't and never will.

Keep looking foolish because we're enjoying your stupidity.

He brags to people that he is in charge of baseball operations.

Which is a weird thing to brag about.

Yay I constructed a team with a .350 winning percentage.

It's very clear that Disa doesn't know even the first thing about how the WT front office is run.
For that matter, even the WT front office doesn't know anything about how it's run. It's one thing today, and the next day it's something different. Depends entire how Stu feels that day.

I agree with Anon 4:34 PM. This baseball team has not had a Real Baseball GM since 2009 or so. It shows in the stands, on the field through the sad front office.

You are so correct. From one season to another the WT just never seem to learn a single thing about how to attract people to CEP and keep them coming back. They are experts at alienating people to the point that, in some cases, they never return to the place.
A few years back Frannie screwed up the parking situation and guess what? She's back, and the parking lot is screwed up again!
If your name is Williams then......well, lets not say anything beyond that. The final ingredient is to mix in a person with personality of Steve Z and BOOM!

The shame is Ross and John got it, it was about the kids and fans. No greedy $5 parking rates and overpriced beer and no-taste hotdogs. Falconi Field was a great place. CEP is a cold, money grabbing weekend traveling carnival. Watch you wallets folks.
