Ferguson back in ball ... as an owner

Former Wild Things pitching coach Tim Ferguson is back in independent baseball, and this time he's an owner.

Ferguson has purchased the former Yuma Panthers, who last played in the North American Baseball League in 2011. The Yuma franchise was dark this summer and will play in 2013 as part of the new American West Baseball League, which will have teams on the West Coast in places such as Long Beach and Fullerton.

The website provides some background on Ferguson, who was the Wild Things' pitching last season until resigning prior to a July 5 game against Rockford, but doesn't mention his tenure in Washington.

Maybe he'll hire his good friend Chris Bando away from Washington and he can take his kid with him to ruin a different franchise.

Chris: Did you ever get the scoop on why Tim left the team quickly and quietly? Seems to me he and Bando had a falling out, and he didn't want his time with the Wildthings mentioned on his blog. Seems a little funny to me.

I would never admit I had anything to do with the WT either.
PLEASE take the Bando bunch away too.

You know what they say: If you can't play or coach, you'll make a heck of an owner/GM. (Stu Williams/Steve Zavacky)

Yes, Chris Bando can be the bench coach since he spends all his time on the bench.
I think T. Ferguson is too smart to include Buttons.

PS-be nice to Ima Fraid!

Not to worry Disa. They have nothing of ANY value to say. What they say about me sort of makes my day because I know they are pissed! They know I am usually correct and, being mentally challenged, they make personal attacks. It's just a sign of their inferior up-bringing.

BTW: Surprise, surprise, I did not attend the season ticket holders meeting as Steve had predicted I would.

Ferguson was fired. They called it a resignation to save face.
