It can only happen in the Indy leagues
Here's another interesting story about the cash-strapped Worcester Tornadoes of the independent Can-Am League. These things only happen in the indy leagues.

OT: The Wild Cubs Live!!
No West Virginia move, at least for a couple of years!
I saw someone that attended the Wild Cubs season ticket holders picnic yesterday.
He said they passed out 2013 season ticket applications.
Also the owner said he would like to keep the present team together for 2013.
I guess that includes Buttons!
Boo Stu
That's sort of good news - bad news. I'm glad the Wild Cubs are staying BUT,
the same situation with the Bandos and the same team; sounds like another loser to me.
Ban the Bandos
Do you mean to say Stu is satified with what he has now? We can expect more of the same next year?
Are you good with that? I'm not.
But, Stu marches to a different drummer - HE is the drummer!
I attended the season ticket holders picnic, and I listened to what Stu had to say. I, along with countless others, have written many times on this blog about many different subjects. I was somewhat concerned that the team was leaving, but now after hearing what Stu had to say, I am willing to renew my 1/2 season ticket package for another year. We enjoy attending the games, and with the package, we can purchase parking for $2.00. So we will eat before we get to the game, drink water from the fountain, and hopefully enjoy a winninmg season. And after talking with some others, it seems manager Bando is going to resign after this season. Seems he has knee problems, and the knees are preventing him from returning (and I'm sure his son will not return). So they will be looking for another manager (again). Maybe the new manager will have some knowledge about the Frontier League, and hopefully, the ownership will allow him (or her) to sign the players and allow the manager to manage.
All in all, I enjoyed this season, and I am looking forward to the future of this team.
Actually, Chris Bando is in need of a hip replacement. It has bothered him all season. He has an appointment scheduled with a doctor in San Diego for after the season.
Stu did not do his homework very well when he commited himself to a five year deal with Bando
I'm not convinced about the long term future of the Wild Cubs in Washington.
Chris Sidick should either manage the team or become the Hitting Coach
