Here today, gone tomorrow

Six days after signing with the Wild Things, catcher Marco Davalillo has been released. I haven't talked to anyone with the organization today, so I don't know why. Davalillo is from Venezuela, so it might be a Visa issue, though that's only a guess.

Washington has only two catchers under contract, and teams like to have a minimum of three, and usually four, catchers in camp for spring training. You have to think that one of the Wild Things' picks in next week's draft will likely be a catcher, which is not good news. The crop of catchers is usually weak at these tryouts.

I'll make a bet. Wild Thing's will draft two really good players tell us how good they are and how they will be one of the best players on the team. And then... THEY'LL EITHER TRADE HIM OR CUT HIM!!!! It's as simple as that and that's how over the past seven months this is how the orgaization has been run.

i don't care how many players the wild things sign and cut, sign and release, sign and trade. what i care about is what's left at the end of camp, and how those players produce. can't get all worked up about nothing.

So far that is exactly what they shown us - NOTHING! Except maybe how they can sling the bovine waste.
Now, if it's not important about all the signings and releases, why do you even bother to comment?

Wild Things should be called the Worst Things. Theyre the Worst Things to happen to WashPa. They need to move. Bulldoze the field and buiild more bars and old folks homes on the land and let us complain about something else.

No, they need to sling a little less bull and produce a viable product. You can only play silly games with fans for so long before they realize they are being had by a bunch of snake oil salesmen.
It's past time to put-up, or SHUT-UP!!!!

i commented about you knuckleheads getting all worked up about guys who never have worn, and never will wear a wild things uniform. once camp opens, then get all worked up about who is or isn't here.
