Barnes available
Former Wild Things pitcher Casey Barnes was included in the first round of cuts in the Philadelphia Phillies' minor league camp. Barnes had been signed by the Phillies late last summer.
Barnes would be a good pickup for the Wild Things if they could re-sign the right-hander, not only because he finished second in the Frontier League with a 2.34 ERA last year, but also because he still holds rookie roster status.
Barnes had a 5-5 record with Washington.
If the Wild Things can re-sign Barnes, it would give them the four of the five primary starters off of last year's pitching staff. And we all know that starting pitching wasn't the Wild Things' problem. They set the league record for quality starts.

I think the Wild Things major problem in 2011 was quality in the management.
Not only did the field manager fail, they had no leadership at the top.
The GM became invisible early in the season and the highest management was operating at the lowest level.
I hear Mr. Smily is also available!
OT???
You would think there would be more interest in the Wild Things now that the season opener is just two months away.
How will the high gas prices effect their plans for this Summer? I’d hate to see it all ruined because of it.
One more season like last year and it’s all over for the Yankees of the Frontier League.
Speaking of pin-stripes; I sure hope the Wild Things have a new uniform this year. They looked, and played, like clowns last season. The only thing missing was the big red nose.
I think Jason Dilly (spelling?) just might be back as the Wild Thing. Mr. Williams has the dough to pay him big bucks. He is spending money like water for all the upcoming events…hope it works out. All he really needs is players and coaches that know how to play the game. I’m sure Randle will teach the players how to blow in the ball to make it roll foul. Just what the Wild Things need is another clown!
Still waiting to see Bando make an appearance hear in Washington. He just can’t be so busy that he could not make a token appearance. It is 2012 and airplanes are really fast so how much time would it take?
He should at least try to look as if he actually gives a s***!
aw what the heck bring him back by the way wheres chris bando
