Market value

Here's a short but interetsing story from Pittsburgh Business Times about where Washington ranks among the 241 minor-league baseball markets.

The best thing about Sunday’s game was “Bark in the Park” Otherwise, it wasn’t worth watching, again.
Nice little, and some big dogs in the stands. ALL dogs in the Wild Things dugout.

For the what it’s worth department; Wayne Herrod told me that I should correct a statement I made on this blog the other day. I said:
“There was a rumor; I have no idea if it is true, that the Wild Things handed out 250 free tickets for last night’s game. I heard a lot of complaining about it from the season ticket holders. There can be little doubt that the season ticket holders very often get the dirty end of the stick handed to them by the Wild Things. No wonder they are leaving in droves.
As far as the ‘freebies’ go – well, it's the Wild Things option to do as they wish but….”

Now, Wayne said the part about the 250 free tickets was a false rumor – okay, it was false but remember, I DID say it was a rumor. He did not however, deny that the rest of that statement was not true. So, I guess it is, or could be. Sometimes it’s better not to say anything.
My apologies to Wayne for spreading a silly rumor. Error corrected
