Another 'W' for Cochran

Former Wild Things pitcher Tom Cochran improved his record to 4-0 Saturday with six shutout innings in the Louisville Bats' 4-1 victory over the Buffalo Bisons.

Louisville is the Cincinnati Reds' Triple-A affiliate.

Cochran gave up three hits and three walks. He struck our four and lowered his ERA to a 1.15.

In only his second start of the year, Cochran took a no-hitter into the sixth inning.

Alright, raise you hand if you thought you'd ever see a former Wild Things pitcher with a 4-0 record in Triple-A.

I don't see any hands.

UPDATE: Cochran continued his stellar start to the season by picking up his fifth win Thursday when Luouisville defeated Rochester 5-2. Cochran pitched six strong innings to improve his record to 5-0. He gave up only three hits and two runs. Cochran had his scorless streak end at 16 innings, but his ERA is only 1.66.

If a Wild Things player ever makes the majors, his Wild Things number should be retired and his name and number should go on the outfield fence instead of advertising.

So is mine.
Please don't call us Taxpayers United - it will just encourage them to screw us again. Who knows, they might even think we are tourist and double our taxes.

Hey Natural Grass (or should I say Taxpayers United?) you wrote the same remark the last time Tommy Cochran was mentioned. Try coming up with something different next time (bet you can't). By the way, love the turf.

OT: I just noticed the new start times for the games. That seals the deal for me, I won't renew my tickets for 2011 after all.

You won't renew your tickets because you'll be able to get home a half an hour earlier? Makes sense.

I like the earlier start time, it gives Natural Grass 30 minutes longer at the end of the evening to bore the crap out of us with his taxpayer turf comments.

Natural Grass is doing what needs to be done -- NEVER letting the thieves forget that we know this was, and is, corporate welfare at the expense of taxpayers. I t make no difference which taxpayers.
Don’t let up Natural Grass, we need people to know what happened. Too many taxpayers don’t know, they think the Wild Things actually paid for it themselves. Fat chance of that. When it comes time for another new turf, we will be buying that too..it sure as the Devil won’t be the Wild Things spending any of their bucks.

When P.T. Barnum said something like there is a fool born every minute was he referring to the taxpayers of Pa. and Washington County?
I went past the ball park this morning and it looks like the taxpayer turf needs mowed.

The only thing Natural a$$ is doing is causing the people who want to discuss baseball on this board to go away. For Pete's sakes Chris, delete the redundant "taxpayer turf" comments and lets discuss baseball or you're not going to have a blog much longer, though it's probably too late. I bet 90 percent of your comments come from two people. Looks like this should be called the Natural a$$ and Ron Wilson blog.

Divert as much attention as possible.
For Pete's sake - don't read it.
Just so we will all know, who the hell is Pete?
