Get to the park early
Anyone else notice the schedule on the Wild Things' website lists all home games (other than the three morning games) as 6:35 p.m. starts? I hadn't seen or heard about a change before this.
This is to get more of the game in during daylight hours because what they save on electricity can be spent on the additional maintance required with taxpayer turf.
Did taxpayer money pay for the new Wild Thing costume? By the way I like the taxpayer turf. It looks good. Thanks to all you Washington County taxpayers. Glad I live in Green County.
More idiotic, boring as hell comments from the "taxpayer turf" moaner..........where is Dr. Kevorkian when you need him to put this guy out of his misery?
It's amazing the name calling that goes on here by some dude that is named Anonymous. If Mr. Anonymous had one ounce if integrity he would use his real name. Since most of you use the "anonymous" option, my guess is that you are either a bunch of silly punks, or just somebody that takes cheap shots at anyone they can without having to be held accountable for your words. Not much manhood in that. Ron Wilson BTW: The new turf does looks very nice. I hate to say it but it's true.
It's amazing how the name for the new turf that I came up with "taxpayer turf" has stuck and will be known as taxpayer turf forever. Now that is beautiful all you name callers. Remember sticks and stones may break my bones, but taxpayer turf only lasts 10 years and hopefully the taxpayers will not give another donation in 2021.
I am calling it taxpayer turf also. I don't much care what the tourist people call it. Remember, they are one of the big winners in this sham. I am pleased that Natural Grass came up with the best name for it - sure wish I'd thought of it first. Ron Wilson
Okay... real question that has nothing to do with the turf, taxes, or where people live... I saw on the Frontier site that we put Eryk McConnell and Billy Muldowney on the "suspended list" so Eryk was our closer last year right? If he's suspended... where does that leave us there..
Two possibilities are Kevin Hammons and Mick Mattaliano. The latter was a closer in affiliated ball. Still early in camp, though, so nothing in settled. I remember in the Wild Things' first year, Fred Wrey (remember him?) looked like he'd be the closer early in camp but ended up the last option out of the bullpen by the season's second week. Robert Garvin ended up the closer and was lights-out in that role.

I thought that they did a survey a while back asking for input on this subject. I agree with this time change.
I agree with the time change.
I prefer grass.
What I detest is using taxpayer money in a private interprise.

If you really did live in GREENE County you would know it's spelled GREENE (with an E on the end) County.
For give me but I do live in GREENE COUNTY. how are you the spelling teacher?
Following the survey, the time change was announced in January.

Dr. Kevorkian was buried under the outfield swamp and them covered with taxpayer turf.

No, only you, using different names is calling it Taxpayer Turf.
I am calling it taxpayer turf also.

Todd better wake up. It was the team's poor playing that made people go home early.
Is Todd even there any more? Been to the ballpark 3 or 4 times the past few weeks and he's never there?
The staff tells me he is "out of town". Does anyone have any info on this???
Been at camp 3 times and Todd has been there each time, often on the field, talking with players and/or coaches.
