Watch Wild Things-Miners game

You can watch a live webcast of the Wild Things' series at Southern Illinois at the following site:

Last year, the games included multiple-camera video and Southern Illinois' live radio feed. I checked out one game earlier this year and the only sound was the crowd microphone and the public address announcer, so who knows what you'll get tonight.

The insanity continues; Dempsey 3 AB's - No Hits - 2 K's.

First, I don't like the DH, never have - never will. The National League is the only place left that plays baseball the way it was intended to be played. Now, that's just my opinion but if we must have the DH, why not have somebody on the team as the DH that can consistantly make contact ie; actually put the ball in play. In the FL you just never know what the defense will do IF you actually do that.
Dempsey aways seems to be trying to be a hero instead of moving the base runner along. With such a high percent of K's you may just as well allow the pitcher to hit. When Dempsey does play, he makes an above average number of base running
mistakes and fielding errors. Is it too much pressure on him this season, ot what? Even more important is the answer to the question; Why does Everson place him in the line-up so often?
