Keep up the great reporting, Chris!
Re: Keep up the great reporting, Chris!
Usually I would agree with that statement 100 percent. However, after reading the story about the Wild Things attendance decline in recent years all I can say is; WHAT???? After using John Chambers and Mr. Renko as sources in what should have been a good representive cross-section of fans, I'm not so sure the reporting was as objective as it should have been.
Sorry Chris, but that's the way I see it. This is the first time I ever felt that you should have done a bit more research before something into print. These two people both have an axe to grind. It's not that I don't like them,I do. On the other hand it's just that I know their feelings. To place part of the blame on the fans is just plain nonsense.

After talking to several Wild Things fans, I had to eliminate some as sources because they either had not attended enough games over enough years to give an educated opinion as to why attendance has dropped(one woman was at here first game), some did not know and two simply did not want quoted (you notice there is a reference to "a sampling of Wild Things fans" in the story, this includes some of these people and their theories). From what was left, the two best quotes came from John Chambers and Bob Ranko, thus they were ones used.
