Which season is better?

Here is a statistical comparison of two players from the Frontier League. You decide which player's season is better:

Players 1:
Games: 75, Avg: .331, 2B: 13, 3B: 5, HR: 24, RBI: 72, BB: 30, SB: 15, OPS: 1.065

Player 2:
Games: 76, Avg: .292, 2B: 16, 3B: 4, HR: 25, RBI: 82, BB: 43, SB: 1, OPS: 1.023

Player 1 is Josh Loggins during his MVP season with the Wild Things in 2003. He was signed by Colorado and sent to their Class AA affiliate in Tulsa on Aug. 18 of that year.

Player 2 is Jacob Dempsey's 2009 season.

Player 1. OPS tells the story

Actually -- in terms of signability the avg & SB's tell the story. Lets face it -- Dempsey is really a DH, and this is why he was released to begin with (from affiliated ball). Its hard to justify signing a guy (not matter how well he hits) if you can't find a position for him. Most affiliated teams just don't sign DH only guys....

Loggins could run which also means his avg is always going to be higher as well.... Dempsey could very well be a much better hitter, but, unfortunately for him -- especially in todays game, affiliated teams seem to be looking for speed and defense just as much as power....

Wild about Things?
.............

Seems that no one is "wild" about the Wild Things now that the season has blown up. At least there is very little posting going on here. One would think that somebody would be bashing Swisscheda or Ron Wilson just for the fun of it. Not even Jamal has anything to say about anything.
I can't understand why Mike Mason's horrific handling of this team has escaped being noticed. By this time last year all the racist were all over Greg Jelks.
If indeed Ross moves over to Cal U that will REALLY be fun to watch the clash of the egos between him and the University President Angelo Armenti. Both of these guys think the body odor doesn't stink. I can hardly wait!
BTW: Did the Wild Things lose again last night? Hope so. Mason has got to follow Greg Jelks out the Wild Things revolving door.
Anybody have any idea who the capitan of the good ship Titanic is at the present time or, did somebody just tie the helm down and desert the sinking ship? I think Franni just sort of floated off into Frontier League heaven.

Mason will get a free pass until someone in ownership steps up and pulls an Alexander Haig and says "I am in charge here" then realizes sweeping changes must be made.

It is so funny how everyone was so happy when Jelks was let go and they hired Mason. Well tell me all you people what has Mason done. The team sucks he stinks as a manager yet no one wants to blame him for the team he has put together or his ability to manage. Jelks is sitting back laughing his butt off right now looking at the wild things. You know what karma is a *itch and the wild things are getting excatly what they deserve. Bring Mason back for another year so he can keep stinking things up and when Jelks comes back in the park with his new team he can laugh his butt off.
