Yevoli signed

Washington relief pitcher Alfonso Yevoli has had his contract purchased by the Atlanta Braves.

This is not a surprise. If there was one Wild Things player I expected to be picked up this offseason it was Yevoli, a hard-throwing lefty.

Yevoli finished his senior year at Tennessee Wesleyan last spring, went undrafted and signed with Washington. He struck out 34 in 34 1/3 innings and allowed only 11 walks and 25 hits. Yevoli has a 90-mph-plus fastball, which is hard to find in a lefty. he got better as the Wild Things' season progressed, allowing a run in only one of his last 17 appearances. During that late-season stretch, Yevoli struck out 24 batters and walked only two.

Need to move on from ban the bandos. Chris Bando will be back for 2013 and I have a feeling he will be proving you all wrong.

Yes, he will be back. He won't be able to prove a darn thing because he has already proven that he can be controlled by those under him.

"Ban the Bandos" is really getting old, especially with almost 6 months til the season starts. Can't we get on to bigger, better and more positive things to discuss here?

You might think it's getting old. Enough other people are using the remark to deliver to the Wild Cubs a message. Of course, they will be to dumb to get the message.

The Pecos League will operate with 10 teams during the 2013 year. That means double digits places for Washington to steal talent from!

Pecos Tim, keep sending those scouting reports for our boy Bando!

If the Wild Things have been stealing talent from the Pecos League, then they
can't even pick good talent from bad talent.
I believe that the Wild Things are the only team in Indy baseball to have their own farm 'league' - the mighty Pecos League.

Now the Wildthings have convinced me that they are not focused on providing winning talent for the fans to watch this coming summer either. They just traded Casey Barnes to River City? Casey has established himself as the face of the WildThings these past 2 seasons. Even while playing in affiliated ball, he returned during a break and shared his experiences with the fans of Washington.
Thank you Stu Williams and Joke Bando, i mean Coach Bando.

Don't be so upset about the Casey Barnes trade. It also included Buttons Bando.
Getting rid of Buttons makes this trade a postitive move.
