Play ball! Now!

We're working on a rain delay of nearly an hour at Consol Energy Park. Why? I don't know. We've had about 10 drops of rain and three flashes of lightning, the latter more than 30 minutes ago. Yet the tarp is still on the infield and the pitchers haven't started to warm up.

Gee, it sure is a nice night to have a ballgame. Too bad there isn't one at CEP.

Tarp is off at 8:10. Baseball's driest rain delay is ending.

Who makes the call when to start the game in a dry rain delay?

How do you have a rain delay with no rain? Ask professional baseball's most inept groundskeeper.

I am really pissed about the WWT.and I am hoping to get some input from the readers of this blog .
We purchased partial season tickets for the 2010 season. It was implied to us that things
were going to change this season as far as prices of concessions were concerned.
When we went to our first game we bought the new fried pickles for $3 for three – we liked them.
Last night we went to buy them and the price had changed to $5 for five pickles. So, now you cannot
buy just three you have to buy five. Rip-off number 1

The price of a foot long Albert’s hot dog with a bottle of Sprite or Coke Zero is $10 freakin’ bucks
Adults CANNOT purchase a regular size hot dog – they are for kids only. Rip-off number 2. I have to admit the foot longs come with a small amount of STALE chips. Yes, we were stupid enough to go ahead and buy one. The damn things were barely eatable and we threw the majority of what we bought in the
trash. We will NOT be buying them again. $20 damn bucks for plain garbage. I would not feed that crap to damn terrorist!

Don’t these WT people realize there is a recession right now? What kind of thinking leads them to believe
that raising prices will sell more concessions? There are even more examples of big prices increases at CEP this year but those of you that attend games probably already know that. I know that many fans are now eating at some other place before coming to games now because of these outrageous increases.

I urge ALL fans attending WT games to immediately boycott their concession stands. Bring a sandwich
and eat it in your car before entering the ballpark, or go to McDonalds. PLEASE, do buy this garbage
that they to disguise as real actual food. This stuff taste as if it were left over from the 2002 season!

We want real honest to God half way fresh concessions at a reasonable price. If we want to eat garbage we
can always do to the Arden landfill and get it for free! We sure as Hell won’t be buying ANYTHING at the
ballpark. What a shameful display of greed buy by a floundering, very minor franchise. DON’T buy anything from these folks – let THEM eat their garbage themselves.

Prior to the game, the call to start or delay is up to whoever is in charge that night for the home team. It could be an owner or the general manager. Once the game starts, control transfers to the umpires. They decide when the game is to be delayed because of weather or field conditions.
