Austin retires; more roster moves expected
Jamal Austin (5) |
Austin was Washington's third-leading hitter with a .273 batting average out of the leadoff spot. He had seven doubles, two triples and a team-leading 13 stolen bases.
Washington's active roster was at 22 -- the league minimum -- for Sunday's game against the Florence Freedom.
The scuttlebutt is that more roster moves -- and they are likely to be significant -- will happen before the Wild Things begin a series Tuesday at East Division leader Joliet.

Has anybody noticed that the "Watch Live" feature on the Wild Things web site never works? It's just another thing they promised but botched.
When did the Wildthings change their name to "You're Washington Wildthings"
The few times I've listened online the broadcaster keeps saying "You're Washington Wildthings" or "You're Wildthings"
They're not my team. If they were I wouldn't charge for parking and I'd lower the prices of tickets and at the concession stand.
Your.
