Take 2

The Tidbits of the Day: The Wild Things' doubleheader sweep Wednesday night at Joliet was Washington's first twinbill sweep since taking two games from the Kalamazoo Kings (7-3 and 4-2) Aug. 5, 2010, at Consol Energy Park. Justin Edwards and Jeff Sonnenberg were the winning pitchers that night.

In their 12 seasons, the Wild Things have swept only four doublehaders played on the road. The last time was July 22, 2009, at Southern Illinois (3-1 and 8-2). The winning pitchers that night were A.J. Jenkins and Andy Schindling. The other two road sweeps came during the 2004 season, at Kalamazoo and at Florence.

How is this team any good? After game 1 versus the Boomers you said we learned that the offense was still very bad. Must be a fluke.

Wahoo...two of my former host sons were mentioned!

Great to see the Wild Things doing well this year.

This blog has no purpose and never a true account to Wildthings baseball. The creator has no knowledge of the game of baseball. How about looking at positives. There is nothing here about last nights game. Still stuck in the negative past I see

I got a good feeling about this team and this year. I think this is a group committed to winning. I like what Zeller is doing with these kids. More time and effort put in to this team then any team in the last 5 years. Maybe this is the year the WILD THINGS NOT THE MILD THINGS OR THE WILD CUBS, bring the championship to Washington Pa. What do you think Chris?

I got a chuckle out of that too. Chris has forgot more about baseball than the writer (May 30 @ 11:55 am) could ever know.

Good work? There is no breakdown of the team's wins on here or in the newspaper beyond a simple boxscore rundown. Radio Randy has more insight #randygoreforpresident

Apparently Anonymous 8:20 a.m. hasn't been reading the O-R.
