Play ball!
One game into the 2013 season and what have we learned about the Wild Things?
We know that pitcher/coach Gary Lee has is sore. As a result, Washington will tie the world record for most starting pitchers named Shawn used in a three-game series. Shawn Smith started the season opener Friday night and he pitched well enough to win, but the offense couldn't generate much over 11 innings.
We know that the 3-2 loss to Schaumburg looked much like last year (I don't mean eight of the nine hitters in the lineup being returning players), when the Wild Things finished at the bottom of the league in team batting average, doubles and home runs. It was simply another game in which the pitching was solid but the hitters found runs difficult to generate.
Washington did have three doubles, but finished with only six hits. The Wild Things simply didn't have many chances to score as they went 2-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Schaumburg's pitchers were very good on this night.

Another losing season. Maybe we can shoot for 20 yrs of nothingness.
It's a bit early to say "another losing season", isn't it?

same players as last year. you know what they say about doing the same thing and expecting different results.
There is one winless team in the FL. Guess who it is.
There are still 90 some games left in their season. We should wait to pass judgment
0-3 isn't a very good start. Although it's not time to panic, I might suggest that the Manager and his staff take a long look at the team and see if the line up might need some attention. I listened to all 3 games this weekend, and I must admit they were close games. New managers always take time to adjust to he team, and the team needs time to adjust to adjust to the new manager. Mot of the returning players were brain washed by Bando, so it might take some time to readjust. I can also put some blame on the short "spring training" that the players have. Although some might say all the teams have the same amount of time to prepare for the season, this part of the world seems to get more rain that the others areas, which might impede practice. I suspect this team will gel, and I would hope for at least a winning season, and hopefully making the playoffs.
Section 103
Well said Section 103 - - three games a season doesn't make - -
It's the same team as last year. You have to find quality players. Guaranteed this team will be better coached this year, but you have to find quality players to put on the field. Guys that fit the Frontier League niche. If someone gets picked up by an affiliated team, you have to replace them with another quality player.
.500 on the road - not so terrible - -
