What a great match up, should be a great series. From a fan's perspective, GSC makes for a lot of fun, but from a true baseball diehard, it's just hard to swallow. Game 1 pitching duel for example. Wild Thing's Sutton hits two run homer to help open up a 3-0 lead in the 5th or 6th, when in reality, probably would have been a fly ball out, maybe a double in the gap. (still a close game)
How true is that. Wild Things pitcher Ledbetter takes a 2-hit shutout into the 7th with 2 outs and 2 strikes on the lead off hitter and gets him to pop up. Should be out of the inning right, wrong. The high fly ball was just a few feet out of the reach from the centerfielder Sidick who was camped under it and waiting for it to come down. Only problem was the fly ball landed 345 feet (some power alley, huh)just out of the reach over the 342 sign. Instead of being out of the inning, it's a 3-run home run. Makes for great excitement, but a shame to see two pitchers hard work go up in "pop-ups"
